About Wanna Go For A Walk RVA?

We started Wanna Go For A Walk RVA? because of our love for all animals and pets; our goal is to create an environment where you and your pet know when you can’t be there with them, they receive the same love and attention we give our own pets. When we hear from you that, “we know we can leave them with you and we have nothing to worry about because of the sincere attention and love you show them”, our goal has been reached. *We are licensed, bonded, and insured*

Walking my “teen phase” puppy was quite stressful before Todd at WannagoforawalkRVA did leash training with her. She barked and lunged at every car that went by and just generally got overexcited by everyone she saw. We had it somewhat under control with tricks we learned from books, but it was stressful. Todd helped her get over her fear of cars, helped her stop pulling, and now she’s our “easy” dog to walk. I can’t say enough about how pleasant it is to just go explore the world with our dog and not have to worry about cars or people causing her to get overwhelmed. She also has a scavenging problem, not while on a leash but when free range in the yard. Todd and Mollie are the only people I trust to care for her without her being able to sneak something she shouldn’t and end up with an upset tummy. They are always on time, they follow all the odd little instructions that people have for their fluffies, and they are always willing to give dog tips for anything we might struggle with… I know I don’t have to worry or check in when WannagoforawalkRVA is on the job. I have complete trust that their care for our pets will be as good as my own. *** Also- they send amazing photos when they visit! Frameworthy!!!

I cannot recommend Wanna Go For a Walk RVA enough! Finding someone to care for a pack as diverse as mine is usually a challenge, but they handled my three dogs—Maddux, Honey, and Sadie—with so much love and attention. They even looked after my bearded dragon, which shows just how versatile and knowledgeable they are. Honestly, I think they take better care of my pets than I do! They are incredibly responsive and kept me updated the whole time. It’s such a relief to travel knowing my babies are in the best hands.

We offer dog walking, dog/cat/other pet sitting, and specialized pop by visits to let your pet(s) out for a break when you can't be there. Going out of town for a while? We can create a customized service package for your pets complete with updates at each service, photos, etc- we will even name the service after your pet(s)! Pricing is based upon your pet's specific needs to be determined at your complimentary 30 minute Meet & Greet.

Click the link above titled "schedule your meet & greet" Chose a convenient time and date for a free 30 minute meet and greet. We will go over your pet's needs, medical history, allergies, etc and determine the best services for your pet(s).

I have a pet rabbit/lizard/guinea pig/other. Can you help?

Yes! We have lots of experience with other pets and would love to take care of them for you. *The only exception are feeding snakes- that we can't do!*

Can you board or stay at my home with my pets when I'm out of town?

No; while we do not board or stay in-home overnights, we can customize a package for your pets to do multiple visits daily to feed, walk, let outside, administer medication, and/or visit with them while you are out of town. This allows your pet the comfort of their normal surroundings along with loving, specialized care for them.
